Join us on a transformative spiritual journey along the Portuguese Coastal Camino, walking the final 124km into Santiago de Compostela. This pilgrimage blends prayer, fellowship, breathtaking scenery, and personal reflection as we traverse coastal paths, lush forests, and historic Camino towns.
Dates: Monday, 28th September – Monday, 5th October 2026
Daily Walking Stages:

  • Day 1: Nigrán to Vigo
  • Day 2: Vigo to Redondela
  • Day 3: Redondela to Pontevedra
  • Day 4: Pontevedra to Caldas de Reis
  • Day 5: Caldas de Reis to Padrón
  • Day 6: Padrón to Santiago de Compostela

Pilgrimage Leadership:

  • Spiritual Director: Fr. Liam
  • Pilgrimage Leader: Mr. Eoin O’Neill

What’s Included:

  • Flights (Cork to Santiago + Santiago to Dublin) with 10kg luggage + small backpack
  • Coach transfer from Santiago to Nigrán
  • Daily bag transfers
  • Dinner each evening
  • Accommodation (hotels, B&Bs, and apartments)

Daily Start: Walking begins each morning between 7:00 AM and 7:30 AM.

Cost & Booking:

  • Total Cost: €1,100
  • Deposit: €250 (payable when booking through the Parish Office)

With three months to prepare, you’ll have ample time to build stamina and get Camino-ready! A detailed information pack (including what to bring and how to prepare) will be provided to all participants.

Spots are strictly limited to 14 people and are expected to fill quickly.

Our parish is the largest parish in the Diocese of Waterford & Lismore. The Central Statistics Office, records 13,751 Roman Catholics in our Parish. The Parish is situated in the south-east of Waterford City, it stretches from St Joseph & St Benildus Church on Newtown Road to St Mary’s Church in Ballygunner.

 We are a vibrant faith community with many people involved in Administrative, Liturgical, Formation, and Pastoral Ministries. Our Pastoral Centre, situated adjacent to St Joseph & St Benildus Church is a great resource for our community. Many social events take place here weekly.
