A joyful celebration of God’s Creation

As part of the Season of Creation, St Joseph’s & St Benildus’ Parish invites families and pet owners to bring their beloved animals for a special blessing, celebrating the theme of “Living Water” (Ezekiel 47:9, 12).

Inspired by St Francis of Assisi’s love for all God’s creatures, this brief and relaxed service – perfect for pets of all temperaments – gives thanks for the gift of our pets and the trust God has shown in placing them in our care. The blessing includes scripture, a psalm response, prayers of thanksgiving, and a blessing of the animals.

The event is free and all are welcome: Come and celebrate the gift of our animal companions as part of God’s wonderful creation.
