Fr. Liddane celebrates his 90th Birthday on Sunday 23rd January. To mark this very special occasion Fr. Liddane celebrated a special Mass of Thanksgiving in St. Joseph & St. Benildus Church on Saturday 22nd January. It is a special day, not just for Fr. Liddane , but for us too. We feel privileged to share this milestone occasion with him.
We thank God for choosing to put him in this parish and allowing us to keep him here with us for so many years.
Many of you will have your own fond memories of Baptisms, First Communions, Confirmation, family funerals, and marriages all ministered by Fr. Liddane over the years. Whatever the occasion, he always manages to find the right words. In times of sadness, his empathy and sensitivity eased many a broken heart.
We wish him many more years of good health.
Psalm 90, says that “our span is seventy years, or eighty for those who are strong.” So, having reached ninety, perhaps the psalm, apparently written by Moses, needs to be rewritten. We are told that Moses himself lived until he was 120 years old, SO we are looking forward to your next 30 years Father!
We send our sincere thanks to Fr. Liddane from all of us in St. Joseph & St. Benildus Parish and may God bless him abundantly for his faith ministry to us and we wish him a very Happy 90th Birthday.
