Prayer, music and reflection beside the river

***DUE TO RAIN, TODAY’S (12 SEPTEMBER 2026) SEASON OF CREATION PRAYER SERVICE HAS MOVED INDOORS TO THE BENILDUS PARISH CENTRE – SAME TIME, 10.30AM, ALL WELCOME.***

As part of the Season of Creation, St Joseph’s, St Benildus’ & St. Mary’s Parish warmly invites parishioners and the wider community to an outdoor prayer service on the theme of Living Water (Ezekiel 47:9, 12).

This year’s Season of Creation calls us to reflect on water – the source of life, a sign of the Spirit, and a gift too often taken for granted. Our service will include scripture readings from Ezekiel and John’s Gospel, prayers of thanksgiving for the blessing of water, a time of lament for the ways we have neglected and polluted this precious resource, and a closing blessing calling us to go forth rooted like trees along Ezekiel’s river.

Come and join us for this reflective and prayerful celebration of God’s gift of water, and be renewed in our shared call to care for our common home.

Please note: Attendees are encouraged to bring a folding chair for comfort. In the event of poor weather, the service will move to the Benildus Parish Centre. No 10.30 am Mass in the parish on that day.
